The Role & Key Responsibilities

Milton Keynes Council is seeking a resilient, adaptable, and forward-thinking Social Worker to join their Children’s Social Care team. In this role, you will be a vital advocate for vulnerable children and families.

• Holistic Assessments: Conduct comprehensive statutory assessments to identify the needs and risks of children and young people.

• Child-Centric Planning: Design, implement, and review robust care and protection plans that prioritize the safety and well-being of the child.

• Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner closely with schools, health professionals, and police to ensure a unified approach to safeguarding.

• Court & Statutory Duties: Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings and confidently represent the local authority when required.

What You Need to Apply

• Active Social Work England registration.

• Proven post-qualifying experience within Children’s Services (Child Protection, Children in Need, or Looked After Children).

• Excellent risk-assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.

• Availability to start a full-time contract immediately.
