Tennial Personnel are actively recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Risby, near Bury St Edmunds.
This is an ongoing temporary opportunity with the potential for a permanent contract following a successful 12-week probation period, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with a pay rate of £14.50 per hour.
This is a varied and hands-on position that combines Counterbalance Forklift operation with general warehouse duties. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
Load and unload deliveries and outgoing vehicles
Carry out goods-in and goods-out procedures
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
Move stock, materials, and finished products throughout the warehouse
Assist with stock control, stock checks, and inventory management
Complete relevant warehouse and dispatch documentation accurately
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and warehouse organisation
Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Support other warehouse and production activities as required
Skills Required
Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
Good understanding of warehouse operations, including dispatch and goods-in processes
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexible and proactive approach to work
Ability to undertake manual handling and general warehouse duties
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
Qualifications Required
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Previous experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment
Basic understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures
Full UK Driving Licence
